Castlemaine Yoga Studio - Yoga Teachers "A photographer gets people to pose for him. A yoga instructor gets people to pose for themselves" Cheryl Dingle Founder of the Castelmaine Yoga Studio, Cheryl began practising Yoga in 1987 due to ill health. She posseses an lyengar Teacher Training Certificate (1994) gained through extensive training with Peter Scott. She has also focused on Sakshin Gatastha Yoga training with Prahlad at Yoga Arts Academy in Melbourne doing ongoing training for the last 8 years. Cheryl is passionately involved with the practice of yoga using therapeutic application to affect the everyday life of the average individual giving an instant rapport with those who need that little bit extra. "I reflect on how lucky I am to have found yoga at a time when I really needed the balance. At that time infertility and myriads of emotional ups and downs ruled my life. Gradually motivation became easier, Life slowed down and I was more aware of myself and of those around me. All of this unfolding little by little with many small successes and failures. The human body exhibits wonderful energetic responses and you can get back on track even when you feel sluggish and unmotivated by simply moving with specific breathing to open the body's pathways of vital energy. I had heard the above but after attending classes with one teacher, was soon to start an everchanging experiential pattern of life always learning to respect my own limitations and this is now what I encourage in other people." |
